Angel Olsen - Forgiven/Forgotten
“I’ve made up my mind,” “I don’t know anything,” “But I love you,” goes the refrain from the first single from one of my favorite artist’s upcoming album. Having heard this song sung in person on stage a couple months ago was a treat then, but so happy to hear the ‘final cut’ recorded.
This is from the forthcoming album Burn Your Fire For No Witness LP is available from Jagjaguwar Records on Febuary 18th.

Angel Olsen - Acrobat
Amazingly, there hasn’t yet been a Bathetic Records release that’s been reviewed by Pitchfork, which is quite astounding given the incredible catalog that Jon Hency’s built up from his Asheville homebase. This is the record that’ll change things, though. And change things good. We’re looking at a #BNM release here.
Stunning visuals by Toshadeva Palani, and Half Way Home LP is out today (I ordered my copy on vinyl this morning, don’t sleep on this!).
